I selected English on the install but picked Mexico City for the time zone .... I guess it thought the calendar should be in Spanish but I don't read Spanish. I can't find a place to change the language in the date/time properties.
Thanks for any info. I installed using LL 2.6 Then updated to 2.8 but that didn't fix the problem.

Should Linux Lite 3.x series have an Anti Virus bundled?
I ask this because this OS aims to meet the expectations of Windows users. You're welcome to have your say.

Hello,
LXTerminal cannot be set to a specific size, in my case the terminal size i like is 120x40. I tried both solutuons from my own linus site but it looks like it is not working.
How can i set the terminal windows size to a fixed size and keep it like that everytime i open the terminal. For me the terminal windows size at this moment is much too small.

hi every one
after upgrading my machine to linux lite 2.8 arabic keyboard don't work i can't write in arabic
please help
I searched the forums for even similar topics without success. And before anyone asks, yes I do know what running an OS in ramdisk does as I did it with XP and loved it for a great many of years. All's I can say is there is absolutely no cleaning needed after each boot up. ;D Another plus is I can try out a pile of softwares, scripts ect. linux offers with ease and never have to uninstall anything or worry about distroying the OS.
So anyway on with the topic at hand, does anyone know how to accomplish this with linux?
I do know I installed firadisk, imaged xp into a compressed raw .img file for faster load time and booted it with grub4dos. Since I am new to linux then I am unsure what programs or processes are needed to do this with Linux Lite.
Any help here would be tremendously appreciated!
I have tried to install LL 2.6 64 bit alongside Windows XP in a dual boot setup. I used a DVD boot disk for the installation. All went well until the end of the installation when I was asked to restart the PC. Before doing this I removed the DVD as I thought the PC would boot again from it. I think this was probably a mistake. The PC hung and neither the F4 or Enter recommended in the instructions had any effect.
I performed the installation again thinking that it would recognise that there was already a copy of LL on the PC. This was probably my second mistake as it did not give me any warning so I suspect that I now have two copies on the PC with more partitions. This time I left the DVD in during the restart and it was ejected automatically at the appropriate time.
The PC will not now start up. I have never seen the screen that offers LL or Windows at startup. The PC automatically tries to start XP but offers me the screen to start in safe mode, etc. Regardless of what I choose, it returns to the inititial startup and offers me the safe mode, etc screen again. It's now in a loop that I don't know how to break.
Can anyone help please? Thanks

Okay,
So on my daughters laptop LL 2.6 is running just fine. I tried installing LL2.8 on my laptop and although the installation went okay, my system freezes after a while. the only way to get things back running is doing a hard reboot (turning off/on laptop). LL2.8 is therefore unusable for me. But when installing LL2.6 on my laptop, everything runs like a charm!
Anyone here who might a clue why my laptop freezes with LL2.8 and not with LL2.6?
This is a couple of screenshot of the customization I made to LL 2.8.

The icon set used is available at the following link.

The following small image is a transparent .png graphic I made that I use as the background for the panel, it will work for panels up to 64 in size. For the menu I set the opacity to 25%.
