Got a HP Pavillion dv7 3120ed here. It has windows 10 home installed and i need to get Linux Lite on it in a dual boot with windows.
The laptop will be used in Linux most of the times but for somethings it needs to run windows.
What is the best way to install Linux Lite and keep windows 10 and have a dual boot system. Asking because i managed to screw things up for the last 3 times i tried it.
We have a simple windows server 8 vpn at the office. I can easily connect to it with my macbook air, a windows laptop, my iphone and ipad. For some reason, I can't get a connection from linux. I tried with Ubuntu and OpenSuse, I now switched to Linux Lite. I never was able to connect to my windows vpn from a linux station. Why is that so?
With Linux Lite, it just doesn't connect. It doesn't give me an error message or anything. How do I connect to a windows VPN?

Firstly i have found Linux Lite an outstanding OS..... It has trouble free untill today....
When booting up..... Put in password..... Then i get a black screen with a cursor on it.....
If i boot up into windows..... Works Ok.....
I would appreciate if some could help me with this one..... A solution or a way to recover without losing settings.....
I have used systemback..... Can this be used to recover if there is not a easy solution....

hi i'm drum and i live in the dutch-speaking part of Belgium.
linux user since 2009 and it is the only OS on my systems
The keyboard shortcut listed in the manual to lock ones desktop is Super+L. But mine was listed as follows:

I edited that entry with the xflock4 command. And now the screen does lock with Super+L. I guess it wasn't working before because I disabled Light Locker.

Just thought I would post a link to my latest review.

.Greetings from Mexico
I used to see a popup notifying me that software updates are available. I don't see that anymore on either of my PCs. I know how to do it manually, but I am concerned for the people I helped get Linux Lite running.
