Have not had any problems updating Linux-Lite 3 until this morning. I tried to update LL3 from the command line and when it reached this line: repo.linuxlite.com:80 (142.54.171.138) the connection timed out. It also displayed this message, some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Fasten your seatbelts, new kid on the block. I hope Linux developers are aware. Never ends.

I have a Raspberry PI SD Card which I need to format but before I want to make an image of it. Unfortunate, all the programs are all for windows. Does any body know about a piece graphical software for this. (Do not mention dd)

Ubuntu having discussion over whether to keep 32bit or not...
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu...39420.html
I installed LL3.0 on the second hand Lenovo B50-30 i bought yday.
In the BIOS i did set the boot mode to Legacy Support and Boot Priority to Legacy First.
There was also a option called OS optimized defaults, it had 2 options to choose from, Other OS and Win8 64bit..i set it to other os..LL3.0 is other os and not win8
Now i have 2 problems which are similar.
1. When i shut the laptop down it doesnt shut down all the way, i get as far as a black screen with power button and num lock light on, then it just sits there. I have to force close it to shut it completely down.
2. When i choose to restart laptop it dos the same as when i want to shut it down, it doesnt restart, just sits there with the power button light and the numlock light on and a black screen. I then have to manually force close it to be able to restart the laptop.
It starts up withou a problem and as far as i can tell all works without a problem. Just the shut down and restart that isnt working as it should be.
been using this app for a month, had to do a clean install on the dell 1501 and now it says, Clementine Error-"Your GStreamer installation is missing a plugin. Never seen this one before?

Just another great review. 8)
I have LL 3.0 x64 installed from a usb on two systems currently. My HTPC installed without issue. However, my Lenovo Yoga 300 is the problem. I have it set to legacy in the BIOS and am able to boot from the live installation stick and install to the internal 32 GB MMC in the laptop. However, when I reboot after the installation, I am getting the message "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". I have gone through the settings in the BIOS but cannot get it to work. I had tried Peppermint OS 7.0 previously and this installed via UEFI without any problems. However, I would prefer to run LL
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks
Some of the plugins I use in Firefox I need. Thats why I haven't switched to google chrome or chromium. But Firefox keeps getting slower. It's probably not the plugins because I don't use anymore than 4 or 5. The other day I decided to give Pale Moon a try. It's a lot faster. Is running smoother. But the spell checker doesn't work on every forum site I visit. Also I can't get the html5 working in HD on youtube smoothly. I also have that same problem with firefox. In firefox hmtl5 is really slow. Especially when I need to switch between full screen and the original size.
