How to maintain custom tweaks after reboot/sleep

Hello,
I have applied certain custom settings, regarding the swappiness value, as well as the overclock of an amdgpu associated device. The swappiness value stays after system waking from the sleep mode, but resets after each reboot. When it comes to the amdgpu overclock parameters, they reset already after system waking from the sleep mode. I would like to have these maintained. I believe a script could do. Where do I put respective scripts, what extra instructions should they include to be maintained by the system?
These are the regular commands that I use to introduce changes - inserted values are theoretical:
Code: sudo echo "10" > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
Code: sudo bash -c 'echo "20" > /sys/class/drm/card1/device/pp_sclk_od && echo "20" > /sys/class/drm/card1/device/pp_mclk_od'

So I'm reading a python3 book and working with int(). I follow the directions everything is fine. They have me typing in the shell int('2') and see the result. I noticed if I type int(2) with no apostrophe i get the same result. So my question is this, is there a difference?

No HDMI sound - Digital HDMI not detected

Hi, guys!
I am VERY new to Linux, so if I may ask for a bit of patience, please.
I installed Linux Lite a couple of days ago and so far I have had a couple of issues with connecting my external monitor (TV) via HDMI.
After many hours reading on forums and some tinkering, I changed the resolution in the terminal to what the TV seems to prefer, but now the TV is not playing sound.
The Volume Control configuration is not even recognizing the HDMI, only showing what you see in the screenshot.
![[Image: kwDQUYB.png]](https://i.imgur.com/kwDQUYB.png)
I have tried installing the newest AMD driver thinking maybe it's the driver not recognizing the HDMI port/connection properly, but I failed.
I wouldn't be bothering you good people, but I am really truly stuck.
Please help, if you can.
Thanks in advance,
Vlad

I want to remove a partition loaded with another Linux distro. Been running dual boot for some time and want to use LL exclusively now. How can I delete the other partition and reclaim disk space for LL? Thanks for your help!

Live- booted to Safe Mode from USB; safe to install?

I've begun experimenting with Linux using an old Win 7 laptop. (1.6Ghz Intel Core i7; 4 MB ddr 3 RAM; 250 GB hard drive) I read about Linux Lite, and it sounded like the ideal blend of speed with a variety of features. I burned the downloaded iso to an 8 GB USB drive using Etcher, and booted the USB. Attempting to Start Linux Lite just produced a black screen, even after several re-tries, and I finally resorted to booting into Safe Mode. This quickly started the process, and the desktop is visible with a responsive menu and internet connection established. But, I have no idea why it was necessary to boot into the Safe Mode or how to find out, and I'm concerned that installing Linux Lite without knowing is unwise. How can I determine if it is safe to do so?
I'm am the newest of newbies with Linux (and a very old dog trying to learn this new trick). Than you for any help you can provide!

How do I move historic Calendar entries from LL3.8 to the LL4 series

Hi Everyone,
I've been using the Calendar app, also known as Gnome-Calendar, for my appointments, etc.
Some time soon, I'd like to upgrade LL from 3.8 to 4 series on the Dell (see signature), but without losing all my historic calendar entries. Within LL's File System, I'm unsure where to go to do this ...
As always, any feedback's much appreciated ...
Thanks 8)
