| hard drive install |

I have a D945GCLF2 MOTHERBOARD WITH 2GB RAM AND A 250GB HARD DRIVE. i TRIED TO INSTALL LINUX LITE 4.6.
1) at end of install never tells me to remove cd and hit return
2) cant install updates
3) cant redo backup it
I used old browser linux 501 live to look at hard drive and the install left it with a 1gb dead section and then a 249gb ext4 section?
I used old browser linux 501 to set up drive, 1st section ext2 about 98gb, 2nd section swap file 24gb, 3rd section ext4 111gb.
I installed old browser linux 501 on the 1st section and it set up grub to include the mbr.
I then installed linux lite 4.6 and the install and updates went great. It made 2 sections out of that 3rd ext4 section.
Redo backup now went great, but the new ext4 section that was made, redo backup said it had a huge amount of data in it?? The old browser linux 501 put a flage on it that says a superblock is missing. WHAT IS THAT 2ND EXT4 BLOCK???
To me it looks like it did not like the 250gb hard drive, too large?
Another strange item is that in the old browser linux 501 firefox updates itself? Starts at ver 5 and says update, then at ver 12 says update, then at ver 45 says high as it can go? In any other linux does firefox update its self?

I just installed Linux Lite. Very nice so far. I followed "Accessing a NAS device" with success, selecting "connect as user" + NAS creds +"Remember forever" for the shares, and then created shortcuts that appear under PLACES. I see my NAS shares and files no issue. Here's the question: when logging back in, the shortcuts appear no problem, but they require inputting the NAS credentials all over again. Is there a way to connect these shares at login so I don't need to re-enter them every time I start the system up? Thanks!

| Headphone audio and recording do not work |

Hello everyone, I'm new to Linux Lite and find some problems with it on my computer using LL 4.6.
1- My computer has two front audio inputs (one for sound and one for microphone), and rear audio inputs that I connect to some speakers. When I'm listening to something through the speakers and plugging a headphone into the front sound input I can't hear through it, in the volume control program it stays Unplugged, but if I select to play it even though the sound is unplugged out through both (the headset and the speakers). I think the correct thing would be that when you plug in the front, the rear speakers will stop playing the audio, and play again when I remove the headset.
2- With the same headset I tried to use Discord, but I was unsuccessful, it does not work, no connected to the audio output, no dedicated microphone input, on the volume control it appears that all audio inputs are unppluged, I tried to switch between them, but none worked. And when I tested the microphone by listening to a song along, the music was being received as input as well, as if I had been listening to and recording the music.
My headset is one that comes with the phone and has the built-in microphone and its input is just a connector. I don't know if I could explain it well, but that's what I realized and I'm very grateful if anyone can help me.
And sorry for the english, I'm using google translator. ;D ;D

Hello guys
I am here because i am new in this linux lite version.
I saw in here a topic with this error but i am having trouble to fix this.
I am running this OS on a Asus eeepc 1025c with custom bios that allows 64bit system and 4gb ram.
I have only a single HDD and i am using single boot. But i am getting this error. If i press any key the system boots perfectly but this error is ugly.
I edited 10_linux file
Changed quick_boot"1" to quick_boot"0"
and then update-grub but the problem persists.
Can you help me out, a easy way if possible.
Sorry if i am repeating the other post, but like i said i am having trouble because i understood the other topic was for dualboot.
Good day and thank you
