| Slow LAN Speed in LL |

Hi all,
my local LAN is slow in Linux Lite.
My system:
CPU: Ryzen 7 on Gigabyte board, 3 Gb RAM, onbard LAN card is classical 1 Gb.
And
CPU: Intel I5 3 Ghz, same as above
And...
It shouldn't matter much as I meet this problem on a few machines of more or less this class.
The test has been run on the same computers, once with LL, once with Windows.
My problem:
The speed of transfers is slow.
From (any used here) computer to a Synology NAS (Jumbo packet 9Kb enabled) 1 Gb LAN speed
The numbers:
* LL (no tweak)
Speed up/down is ~25 Kb/s
* Windows 7/10 (Jumbo packet 9Kb enabled)
Speed up/down is ~60 Kb/s
* Windows 7/10 (NO Jumbo packet)
Speed up/down is ~35 Kb/s
The transfer of large file becomes very (too very) long under LL.
There is something to be done in the LL configuration, I think.
Thank you for reading this.

The logo of Linux Lite apparently is a feather, signifying being lightweight, also birdlike free as with the notion of freedom. But this feather could also be associated with a certain popular myth, that of the Phoenix or the Firebird. It is claimed that a man who has managed to gain possession over a piece of feather of the said mythological creature, was granted particular luck in future endeavors.

| Fresh installation LL 4.4 on HP Prodesk 400 |

Hello to Everyone,
I'm a silent user of Linux Lite since 3.6 version, gradually going up to 4.4.
Recently I've got into trouble trying a fresh installation, sole OS, on Desktop HP ProDesk 400 G5 MT, Intel Core Coffee Lake 8th Gen i5-8500, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, code 4HR58EA.
Knowing the UEFI is supported only in a testing version of LL 4.2, I have set in BIOS: Legacy support, no Secure Boot and Legacy boot.
The partitioning is 2 MB for BIOS_grub, 50 GB for boot, 6 GB swap and 196 GB for Home partition.
I installed from DVD, then tried from USB and every time I've got the same error No system boot, install an OS on your disk.
Interesting is that when I use the installation from DVD, after booting error and getting back to a new trial with the option from DVD menu -"Boot from the first disk"- the system is booting from SSD with the configured desktop interface. Booting from USB this option of "Boot from the first disk" is driving me back to USB booting menu.
Just to mention that I have tried a manual reinstallation of the grub boot menu with the same result.
I left no option I'm aware of therefore any piece of advice or suggestion might be valuable.
Thank you.
