  I am starting to remove windows from my company.
  Actually, only the central server has Windows 2008. All client but one are Linux Lite based and they access the server via RDP
  I have tried everything:

Ubuntu (too slow)
Xubuntu (on one client I have had video problems)
Linux mint (not working on some PC)
Thinstation linux (few problems)
Luninux (some boot problems)
DSLinux (too old)

Linux lite worked everywhere but one PC whose RAID on baord controller is not supported and Bios if forced to boot from it.

I have an amiga background and I find in it something familiar... I don't know why.

I would likely donate to the project and I'll do this soon.

Now I am here to become a Pro user of Linux Lite with your help.

Hope this project will last forever.

I am a big fan of Linux Lite.  Great distro.  Very reliable and very user friendly.  Just curious as to whether there is any kind of projected time line for the release of 2.0!

hello everyone!
I've installed xp and linuxlite on my machine (on diff partitions of the same HD) and I'd like to change the default OS to be XP as opposed to linux for the time being. Right now, it's set to linux. Is there a user-friendly way to accomplish this?

hello, I am new to linux and after I installed linux lite, I cant see my CDROM nor I can mount it.

I have tried all instructions on different posts but nothing seems to work for me. Please help me 

With hackers etc. targeting the popular OS and browsers etc, MS Windows and associated software have been the target of malware, viruses etc.  Android OS is now the next obvious target with all the mobile internet of things- phones, tablets Chromebooks etc.  Isn't Android based on linux, and if so, will that eventually make linux OS flavours  more vulnerable i.e risking the safety of linux as an OS.

I understand that there are some MAC OS viruses - because of the market share of IPADs?

Have downloaded the FSLINT from "ALL" on  Synaptic.
Got the following synaptic report  after downloading all  dependencies etc.

However Synaptic shows green box after download and appears to be working.

Done the Broken Packages routine and again failed to download those missing. "generic kernel headers and image" ??

QUESTION

What is the significance of the report above and does it make the use of the fslint "as is" unsafe/unreliable.

A big portion of the screen is black and i can't use it. The display window have only 1 option on it and can't edit it.

After some google search, found a command that maybe can help but it is not helping here the results of that command, what can i do?

I have been trying to install said Brother. for quite a few days. When I try to paste the the following command into a terminal ,I get the followin error msg. " linux-bprinter-installer-.gz" no such file or directory.

Hi Everyone:
I really need help.  I'm 74 and have just installed Linux Lite 1.0.8.  Everything works great, but I have no sound.  I right clicked on the speaker on the right bottom of the screen and checked the setting there.  Here is what I found. (Sound Card) PLAYBACK: Dummy Output(Pulse audio Mixer)...CAPTURE: Monitor of Dummy Output(Pulse Audio Mixer)  MIXER TRACT:  Only Master Track.  Left Click command:  amixer set Master toggle.  I don't see any sound cards listed????  Help!  Anymore ideas???
