I created a USB drive copy of linux-lite-1.0.0-beta2-nonpae.iso and successfully booted from it on a Dell Latitude D600 laptop. It was able to detect and connect to my WiFi. I installed it to the hard disk and booted from the disk and was able to detect and connect to WiFi. I upgraded using the option in the standard menu, and selected the default options when given a choice - that is, keep locally modified config rather than overwrite with maintainer's new version. When I rebooted, wicd could not detect any networks. I repeated the whole process, with the same result.
I have attached a txt version of the hardcopy report for the machine; the Loaded Modules section includes
b43 Broadcom B43 wireless driver
and the PCI Cards section included
Network controller Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11a/b/g (rev 03)
I can if necessary connect the laptop to the router with ethernet cable.
Many thanks to anyone who can help
Richard

Hey guys! I have recently installed Linux Lite 3.2 on dell latitude E6410 laptop. I'm trying to stream to twitch.tv and i have heard screen studio is the closest application to getting the job done. I have installed the latest version of libav-tools. When I try to add the repository it says it goes through here:
Code: liijoh@liijoh-lite:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:soylent-tv/screenstudio
You are about to add the following PPA to your system:
ScreenStudio By Patrick Balleux.
Home page:
http://screenstudio.crombz.com/
ScreenStudio will use the power of avconv to let your create a screencast of your desktop, with your webcam and a banner in overlay.
It is built around "avconv" that is currently available on all Linux distos and should work "out-of-the-box". There are no dependencies beside the need for the JRE 7.0 (OpenJDK).
More info: https://launchpad.net/~soylent-tv/+archive/ubuntu/screenstudio
Press [ENTER] to continue or ctrl-c to cancel adding it
gpg: keyring `/tmp/tmpb2KapV/secring.gpg' created
gpg: keyring `/tmp/tmpb2KapV/pubring.gpg' created
gpg: requesting key 1591F4CD from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: /tmp/tmpb2KapV/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created
gpg: key 1591F4CD: public key "Launchpad PPA for Karl Ellis" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1 (RSA: 1)
OK
Then when I update I get this error in the terminal:
Code: W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/soylent-tv/screenstudio/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/soylent-tv/screenstudio/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
This is just then end of the whole reading to show this specific error. If you want me to copy the entire output I will, it's just really long.
I try running the application. but it doesnt appear to be on my system. What I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

When i want to copy some files to a usb stick then i got some problems. The copy starts and after 8-10 seconds it stops for 20-25 seconds and then starts again and stops again after 8-10 seconds and so on and on and on untill the file is copied. During the time it stops notting happens, no data seems to be written. Its also very slow, speed is between 600kb and 1,5mb
I have it with all the sticks i have..they are all usb 2.0 and are 4, 32 and 64gb in size. The 4 and 32 are fat32 and the 64GB is ext4 formatted.
Is there anything i can do about it?

Hi,
I have just installed LL 2.2 on a new Intel based mini PC.
I have it connected directly to a monitor(input #2) via HDMI
The monitors got 2 HDMI inputs, input #1 is my main PC.
If I use the the monitors "switch source input" I can switch between the 2 PC's,
However If I switch from the "New" PC to the other PC and back I loose the
"New PC's" Desktop, I go back and it's black.
If I do a crt alt f3, I can get a system prompt and do a restart of the Desktop.
The other PC is fine, I can go back to that and it's fine, that is running LL 2.0
So the new PC does not like having it's HDMI output switched.
It's not screensaver/display settings in LL 2.2,
I can leave the New PC connected to display for periods of time, screen goes blank
move mouse, tap keyboard and it's back.
Any ideas welcome. (inxi -F below)
Thanks... Dave

users with LL2.0 are being blocked from upgrading due to broken repos.
I suggest having links for 2.0 users facing this issue

| SD Card Remount |

Hello all, I hope this is in the right section.
I'm currently running LL 2.2 on a 8gb usb pen, and in an effort to save some space; I have installed a large app (TTS Voice) to an SD Card. When I come out of standby, I am asked for admin password to allow the SD Card to remount. Removing and re-inserting the SD Card automatically remounts it without a password.
I've unsure if this behavior is normal or due to having the app installed on the SD Card and causing the remount request.
Can someone suggest a way for the SD Card to be automatically remounted when coming out of standby mode?
