What would be a good program to use to create a Linux Lite flash drive with data persistence.
Hello All,
Has anyone had experience with this adapter on Linux Lite 2.4?
Trouble? No trouble?
TIA,
Alankeno
Went away for a while and ended up using the ubuntu LTS - which STILL sucks lol
Glad to be back on LL.
Still as fast !

I am building a media center pc for a church I go to. I plan on using Linux lite because of price, usability, stability, and security. The idea I have is to install vlc, and google chrome on top of Linux Lite, and use HDMI to connect it to a tv. Then us a wireless mouse and keyboard so that it can be controlled from some distance away. I will be using vlc to play disks or any other files on the local computer, and google chrome to stream off of youtube, netflix, etc. Would this set up work? If not, what other software should I use?
When I change icons from Faenza to Humanity or Humanity-Dark, there is no icon for:
Mouse and Touchpad.
When I select Oxygen, the missing icons include:
CD/DVD Burner
Create System Report
Disable Auto Login
Help Manual
Install Drivers
Install Updates
Lock Screen
Run Program
Steam Driver Information
Hello. I am Martin from US and I am currently working as a writer from thesis writing service and I am a blogger too. I am interested to write articles for sites as a guest writer and like to share my ideas and opinions about writing papers. For me, writing articles is the great chance to improve my knowledge. That's all about me

Hello,
I don't know how it happened, but instead of the default notifications I have a text only notification in the top left corner with blue background and light blue text. It stays on screen for cca. 10 seconds, regardless of the setting in Settings > Notifications > Disappear After [5] seconds; it's position is also unaffected by this settings screen. Changing the theme here had no effect.
It's length is cropped at around the third screen width.
In trying to fix this I've reinstalled xfce4-notifyd and rebooted, but that did not help.
I've noticed that it does not appear in Settings > Session and Startup > Application Autostart, but that might not have anything to do with it, as starting applications is handled at many different stages by many different systems.
Any advice?
EDIT: I understand that Linux Lite is not configured to install other WMs.

On a Vista-era machine with an Intel 945G chipset, LL is apparently running generic drivers. Everything seems good, but I would like to know if it is feasible to install the proper Intel drivers. I came across instructions here. What I would like to know is if it hoses the system, how could it be undone in LL? My alternative would be to take a disk image using a boot disk program.
Thanks.
When I left-click on my Skype Icon in the panel (down at the bottom right of the screen), the Skype Popup menu only pops up with about three entries, and the rest have to be scrolled up or down to get to them. This is probably about the most minor question I can think of to ask, but it is mildly irritating to me since there are so many entries in it, and "activate" and "quit", the ones I most frequently use, are at opposite sides of the list.
On another computer I have a KDE install (pclinuxos) where this doesn't occur - the whole menu pops up. Is there anything I can do to get the *full* menu to pop up on left click in Linux Lite?
thanks!
