Need recommendations and thoughts on this machine.
After reading forums here and yon, I installed 32 bit Linux Lite 3.0. After getting through all the trials of getting the Broadcom wireless working, the machine runs smoothly. I installed 32 because mention was made that if you're only running 2GB memory, 32 works best. Supposedly this is max for the machine, though I have read in some forums that it will handle 4GB. I have tried 64 and it runs as fast as the 32, it seems? Question is, with the lack of support on so many things nowadays in 32. Should I go ahead and update to 64 and be done with it? Thanks in advance for comments and feed back...

Not sure if i'm posting this in the right section but ever since I installed LL 3.0, my home folder/thunar have been closing/crashes randomly often when I rename a file or move a file into a different folder.
I decided to google search the problem and apparently it's a common bug with thunar 1.6.10 that many people had problems with. There's a patch out for it but i have yet installed it and tried it out yet.
I don't know if you know about it Jerry or if you fixed it in LL 3.2 beta.

I tried to record my desktop with simplescreenrecorder. Not all of the video showed up. I'm sorry. But if everything was right then it should of... I'm able to play back videos on youtube ok. But in VLC things are wonky. So wonky that even my screen recorder couldn't record the video that vlc was playing!

I also tried to capture the issue on Camera. Sorry about the shakiness. I had to hand hold the camera.

I already looked that this.... https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/insta...te-kernel/ And I see that we got a thread going on and on and on.
In Linux Mint there is a simple graphical installer for the kernels. When I'm running Mint I often have more than one kernel on my system and I also have the grub customizer to help me keep things in the order I want them in.
Currently I am running this machine specs.
Code: System: Host: gregory-Vostro-400 Kernel: 4.4.0-42-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4.0)

I think I'm having some issues due to the 4.4.0-42-generic x86_64 (64 bit gcc: 5.4.0) I want to try and install the 3.13 kernel because when I was running Mint on this machine it seemed to run happier on that kernel.
One thing I don't understand about Ubuntu, Linux Lite and others based on Ubuntu is how to locate and install other kernels.
How can I can install kernel 3.13?
Don't worry if I can only get some other kernels installed I can recover from boot errors. I make the grub menu show up and all I need to do is select a different kernel if something doesn't go right.
Also how do you remove a kernel from Lite?

Does anyone know how to use the mouse wheel or keyboard shortcuts to scroll through gedit tabs? I know it can be done in Linux Mint Cinnamon, which I have running in a virtual machine at work. I cannot do either with gedit in Linux Lite.
