How do you turn off the generic naming. Like the XFCE terminal is called lite terminal and I want it to be called xfce terminal. I looked in the settings and I couldn't find and option.

| New build temperature oddity |

On another forum, a comment was made that the following problem might
be related to the linux distro I'm using, which is Linux Lite 4.6 on both computers.
Below is what I get on my Core I3-4170 desktop when I do a 'sensors' command in the terminal:
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +27.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)
temp2: +29.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)
coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Package id 0: +29.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0: +27.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +25.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
In comparing that with a new build that I just did using a Pentium Gold G5400,
all the temps look about the same on the new build with the following exception:
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +16.8C (crit = +18.8C)
temp2: +27.8C (crit = +119.0C)
Adapter: ISA adapter
Package id 0: +27.0C (high = +78.0C, crit = +100.0C)
Core 0: + 27.0C (high = +78.0C, crit = +100.0C)
Core 1: + 26.0C (high = +78.0C, crit = +100.0C)
As you can see, the temp1 on the acpitz-virtual device shows
only +16.8C, and even more odd, the crit temp is shown as +18.8C
which is just 2C above the actual temperature
Why would the temp1 temperature be only +16.8C ?
And even stranger, why would the critial temperature
be shown as only +18.8C ?
Could it be a flaw in that particular temperature sensor
on the motherboard ? (Motherboard = Gigabyte B360M D3H)
Edit: And I just now also noticed that when I do a 'watch sensors' command
on the new build, all the temperatures fluctuate one degree + or - every so often
except the temp1 and temp2 on acpitz-virtual-0. Those 2 temperatures
do not change at all, not even as much as 0.1 degrees.

if this was placed in the wrong spot, let me know, i was just sharing a how too fun thing...........
every once in awhile i just want to use a emoji, a fun little emoticon, but i dont want to go to a site always to use one, unbuntu(in some flavors) has this thing called a emoji picker/selector that is installed or you can install it.
well in Linux lite 4 series , installing one of them would be a pain in the ass, that was until i found this piece of software listed in this one article, its actually listed in the Linux lite 4.6 "synaptic package manager" (install/remove software) .
so i did a video on it , here is the youtube link to my video
"For Linux : Emoji Picker : this one is called " Gnome Character Map "
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIE2wI0fU0s
if you think there is something better and easy to install than this little piece of software, please tell me .
i want to say thank you to all who watches this

| BioPunk [genre] |

Cyberpunk and Steampunk are probably the two best known "X-punk" genres, in the world of creative fiction. To be fair, I do not get their "essence" as much, I do not know what are they perhaps truly about, but what I do know, is that they speak of certain civilizational collision, a transition time, in which neither the part of global influence is ready yet for the encounter. They also both speak of how the old and the new, unwilling to change, negotiate with one another, but most importantly, what is the sociological outcome of their mutual struggle.
What I wanted to propose, is a genre of analogous kind, called "Biopunk". What could be new about Biopunk, is that it tells about a civilization, which has discovered a new breed of alien species, being the subject of intense study. The aliens themselves, though, to definitive majority of population, are unknown, a mystery. Government tries to keep the study as restricted in access and secret as possible, but one thing is known for certain - this is the transition time, where the old humanity meets the new humanity. What I mean by that, is humans start to incorporate an alien "DNA" - in lack of better term - to their body structure, allowing for rapid changes and extended capabilities, unobserved thusfar in the mankind. The alien "strain" is obtained illegally, to be understood, thus the formation of wide, chaotic underground movement.
Emergent problems address typical "X-punk" patterns, such as, the questions of self-control, the questions of limits, the questions of being human, finally the questions of the future of human race. In the Cyberpunk genre, to compare, having too much of technological implants had been taken, one looses humanity and becomes more like a Terminator kind of cyborg. In the Biopunk, in turn, incorporating too much of the dynamically - infectiously, one could say - working alien strain into oneself, strengthens the connection with an alien mind pattern within oneself, further to be known as the overmind, which eventually takes charge of the newly formed post-human minions.
It could later on be revealed that the human government wages war on the alien species - which, false to prior claims, is not a study on dormant or trace subjects, but actually, is a full fledged race for survival - with the Biopunk behaviours affecting the human population, being one of the alien strategies to simply win the war.

I'm an XP Pro user looking to find an easy to use lightweight distro to run as a LiveCD in RAM. I tried various versions of Puppy, but trying to get it to connect to the internet was too irritating. I'm looking for something similar, but it absolutely must meet three requirements:
1. It must connect to the internet automatically like MX Linux does. I most definitely will not be fooling with any internet connection setup, like the popup in Puppy Linux.
2. It must be ready to play videos at YouTube, Putlockers, or similar sites out of the box, without me having to fuss with it...and the sound must not be in messed up (like in slow motion).
3. No CLI requirement. Between Dyslexia and ADD, there is not much that grinds on my nerves faster than CLI.
My PC is used Dell OptiPlex 755, which I had a local computer shop check for malware, then modify to my specs. The 4GB cheap RAM was ditched, and replaced with 8GB brand-name. The CD-ROM was replaced by a DVD burner. The spare 5.25 bay was given over to a mobile-rack and bare hard disk for secondary HDD (MX Linux will eventually be installed there). I'm using a wired-only VDSL setup, meaning zero wi-fi/bluetooth junk.
I have never tried Linux Lite, so I wanted to ask here if this distro can meet my three requirements. If not, maybe someone can recommend a distro that can.
