I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with this system. I have used every version of LL since 2.6 and watched as LL progressed toward its goals. No Linux distribution achieves keeping a new user out of the CLI more successfully than Linux Lite 5. As far as I am concerned this in itself makes it by far the most new user friendly Linux system available today for new users coming from Windows. In the office, MS has had a stranglehold for years. Newly hired workers spent hours in classes learning how to use MS software but never received any real instruction on how to administer an MS system. Most new users coming from Windows are of that ilk, and Linux Lite provides them with the easiest potential transition from Windows to a superior Linux product. Simple touches matter to Windows refugees, and thoughtfully selected desktop software like Lite Tweaks and Lite Updates are of inestimable value to them. I am a long time Debian user and probably always will be as long as development continues, but I always recommend and install Linux Lite for Linux beginners. It truly is a beautifully simple and functional system that they always seem to intuitively find their way in.

Hi
Can this guide can be used if you end up in tty1
https://dev.to/rahedmir/how-to-use-times...linux-1l9b
As the title says. Should be back up in a day or so, major disk failure - https://fosshost.hund.io/issues/5fa9c2c5...4b0ca48275
Install Updates should still work as I've pointed our repo to one of our Mirrors.

I need to remap buttons on my Kensington, but I can't install the KenWorks software on my work PC as it's not approved. I noticed that modifying it on my personal computer didn't "save" to the device as the 192.168.o.1 settings didn't carry 192.168.0.1 over to work machine. Is tp link login there some way to modify the mouse buttons without installing KensingtonWorks software, or somehow copy the profile over to my work machine without needing to install kensingtonworks?
Thanks
I would like to make the menu fonts larger. In Windows I use a userchrome.css setting that does not seem to work at all in LLOS. Trying something else, I tried the advice given here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1260063 by jscher2000. The changes I made to layout.css.devPixelsPerPx do not stick and revert back to the default. I get no permissions prompts for going into this. Is there somewhere else I can make tese edits. Thanks
Hello, I use Linux Lite in a VM with 2gb RAM. Today I was booting up the VM, but when I log in to my user with the correct password, instead of showing me my desktop, it shows my wallpaper, then a black screen, then a red screen, then another black screen, and then back to the log in page. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Yes, I tried remounting the drive, it doesn't let me do it even in root, I tried fsck, doesn't work.
UPDATE: I just tried logging into root, but it just freezes with an image of the wallpaper, and there are no buttons.
Now, they are out of control with the M1 chip.
What is the M1 CPU?
CPU + GPU + memory that can’t be expanded beyond either 8GB or 16GB.
Want to upgrade your memory beyond 16Gb? FU!
What's next? Onboard SSD nand storage?
P.S. you also get a whopping 2 USB4 ports...lol
I would like to translate Linux Lite from English to Danish. I found this page
https://www.transifex.com/linux-lite-lit...inux-lite/
But the only language there is "Project language German"
