I have a DELL Inspiron laptop it's inbuilt keyboard gets disconnected or stops responding randomly I don't know, but still my touchpad works and I always have to logout and sign in again to make the keyboard again working.

HELLO,
I am having an issue at the moment with an older laptop of mine. It is an ASUS x206HA with Intel Atom processor. On it i had Linux mint and decided to switch to Linux Lite. I inserted the USB ran the setup, everything seemed well and then the machine restatrts after it finished the install.
On the screen was something like remove installation USB and press enter. I did and from then the laptop does not boot. It also does not show the ASUS logo anymore, and i can't install other Linux or Windows. I create the bootable USB and when i want to move further with the install the screen stays black. Anything i do the screen is black. I tried to reset the BIOS, remove battery and connect an external monitor. Nothing, only black screen.
I can't find an answer anywhere and hope to find it here. Thank you all!

I see Version 5.4 is no longer supported post April 2025.
Is it still safe security wise to use version 5.4 ?
How do versions 6.4 and 7.4 differ from version 5.4 ?
It looks like the website no longer has a shop that sells the USB boot drives for later versions ?
So a download from the website is the only option to get a later version ?
Hello...
I have a Surface Go tablet onto which I installed Linux Lite v. 7.6. The issue is as follows; When attempting to use Onboard onscreen keyboard it simply vanishes off the screen the instant I tap it. I wish to use this device while mobile and do not want to attach a full keyboard every time I need to type something. Has anyone encountered this situation before? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks>
Hello, newbie here as well as to Linux in general. Windows user up until now.
I have a few ancient laptops lying around that I'm thinking of bringing back to life installing a light Linux version. Hence, Linux Lite seems like a good candidate.
I went through the moves of installing ver 7.6 and installed all available updates; it said no driver updates are available.
Yet I get an extremely unstable display and can't seem to solve the problem trying every available graphics resolution (see attached video: in it, 1280*800 is being used).
I looked on about every forum I could find to look for help on this issue, but can't find a thing.
Hoping someone can give me a tip? Maybe another member managed to get a working install on a similar old machine?
Joining a inxi dump below, maybe there's something strange in there?
Thanks in advance,
Lio

While trying to install Linux lite updates a message displays that says "could not fetch the package cache information lists". Please assist me in resolving the issue. I would be thankful.
Most of the existing Lite applications will be ported from bash+zenity/yad to Python + GTK4.
