in my synaptic package manager the apply and  properties are disable
cannot be click

i try to insert image for my synaptic package manager
screen shot to let u know what i mean but i dnt know how to do it!!!

Hi katME,

The way to post an image here is to upload it to the web, get the link to it and post it here.
Easiest, as they even don't require an account, are services like:

http://www.pixhost.org/

https://imgur.com/

Of course you also can use online storage like Dropbox, if you have an account.

In general, you might want to check that the picture does not contain privacy critical information.

It's very important you copy these commands carefully, with the wrong folder paths you can do some harm to your system.

This will purge the old cache so to speak.
Code: [Select]
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

This will then update the caches again for the repos. Then procede to run updates as you normally would.
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update

If the error continues please post a your /etc/apt/sources.list file.
The Truth is out there.
Be sure to check the Manual out and always report Bugs or feature requests.

i try to update through command terminal and i got this error, plz do help what to do
i am just newbie... any concern plz do help!!!! huhuhuhuhu
