Seems to me you really need to know what kind of pci slot you have on your motherboard.

Unity interface is code for UBUNTU 14.04LTS. So after explaining using edgers ppa and failsafe graphics boot and how to install the driver. We were able to come up with off of ebay
I understood the process in the binarytides site, went to eBay and found a Buy-it-Now ASUS GeForce 7100GS w/ 512MB for $7.99 including shipping.
So now we wait for the card to arrive. If he hits a bump. He knows he can count on me to
coach him through the tight corners. So back to depending on what kind of pci slot you
have available would be a good start.
