OK.  Best to start a new thread.

Please provide more details about your hardware - particularly the graphics system.  To progress, you will need to provide more precise information.
It won't be simple to export the information needed. We might need to do some moderately complex command line operations and work out a way to get the output to a working system.

Not sure what you mean by "the screen fuzzes out" when you log in using the GUI login.
Can you use it at all ?
If you can, try pressing 'Ctrl' 'Alt' and 'T' together.  This should open a terminal.  If the terminal is usable running the command
Code: [Select]
inxi -GSawill show something about the graphics hardware.

If you can post back with the output of the command it may give us a starting point.
The details of how you do this will depend on your system and what hardware you have.
The old fashioned way would be to write the information down and type it on a working system but this is error prone.
Photographing the terminal screen may be a option but isn't so good for us.
If you have an external storage device (USB stick) or the system is dual boot we may be able to work out a better way to capture it.

If the 'fuzzed out' screen is totally unusable, instead of logging on at the GUI screen try pressing 'Ctrl' 'Alt' and 'F2' keys together.
This should open a console screen at which you can log in using your normal credentials.
Run the inxi command above and extract the information.
Pressing 'Ctrl' 'Alt' and 'F7' keys together should send you back to the GUI log on, but you can shutdown with
Code: [Select]
sudo poweroff

Yeah I posted the wrong error log. But after the update without the boot media the system boots up, I put in my login and then the screen fuzzes out.

Was the OS install fully completed and the system rebooted without the installation media before trying the update ?
The error message posted looks like an attempt to run updates on a system booted from a 'Live image' media.
