I second the Seamonkey motion for two reasons:

1. - It's LITE - Much lighter, in fact thousands of lines of code lighter, than the TWO softwares it emulates (Firefox and Thunderbird) which most distros run as defaults.  And

2. - It has none of the Google spyware/adware stuff, for those of us who are a little concerned about privacy and security.

Just sign in with your Gmail username and password, this will work for Chrome and Chromium.

LOL, wow, you helped me a lot ...... didn't know that I needed to put my password in the password field .... :D :D :D
I meant that it says service unavailable always ... anyway, this doesn't happen with chrome.

Google Chrome can be installed from Synaptic or downloaded from the Google-Chrome site.

no ... it can't in 32bit

Chromium is already included in Lite Software. See OP's original post.

My bad. I don't use Lite Software, opting instead to use Synaptic as I always have. Maybe I should have looked first. My thought would then be that Chromium is good enough. Before adding Google Chrome I'd suggest maybe SeaMonkey. It's a rock solid, all in one browser/email client that would be easy for new converts to use.

I have very limited personal knowledge with using Chrome. Most of what I know is from reading articles on the 'Net. I've read lots of reports of various spyware in Chrome. I'd hate to see any application made readily available in Linux Lite that does contain spyware, or any malware. I have read that Chromium is basically the same browser, but is open source and contains no spyware. Wouldn't that be a better choice?

Google Chrome also has that funky issue that consistently trips up newbies with regards to the keyring. Firefox just works and has never let us down. It's FOSS too which sweetens the deal.

That would take some convincing given their unpredictable history on linux. Never say never but we would have to try and anticipate their future failures and have fixes ready.

The reason for this not to happen is that chrome stopped supporting 32bit OSes (am currently using chrome on 32-bit system ... the idea is that it was last updated in 2014)

I have been running Google Chrome on a daily basis for some time on LL 3.4 and 3.6 and it seems stable.

May it be considered for inclusion in Lite Software for the Linux Lite 4 series.
