Searching 'speed up boot' in the Search box produces a number of results. Just be careful doing these tweaks, I would be more concerned with system stability than shaving a few seconds off boot time. You may also be limited by the hardware you're running. Cheers :)

I apologize if this has been addressed before, I couldn't find it if so.  I have found Linuxlite to be very slow to boot and shutdown.  Not referring to the GRUB part but the part with the "splash screen" where all of the services and what not are being loaded.  Is there any way to speed it up, i.e. a list of the bare minimum process needed to make the OS work.  By "work" I mean be usable right away (while I'm not new to Linux I'm not into working from command line, just the basics like installing software and updating not for the whole system.)
