I'd like to redo the way Lite Tweaks displays information in the Category column.
I'd like it to display either Yes or No as the Category column itself will be renamed to Password.

Yes - requires a password to run these tasks.
No - does not require a password.

Keeping the existing column and adding the new one doesn't work due to width restrictions on low res. screens.

There needs to be a way we can say to people, these tasks require your password, and these don't, as that is the basis for running tasks in Lite Tweaks. I'm going to ask the community what they think about this too.

This is what I would vote for based on feedback from tat one who must be obeyed (my wife... lol) she always comes to my rescue :P

1- Replace There are 2 Status Levels with Grade
2- Then rename "Status" column to Grade

The fact is, as she said, these are not "status" but grades or severity descriptions.

3- Remove the Category column (its presence is purely cosmetic and redundant in some cases - for example:

Name | Task | Category | Grade | Description

Bootup Fix -  Fix - Repair - Caution - description blah blah blah

A more sensible approach is to save us the "Category" column space therefore and adjust the Task description. E.g.:

Name | Task | Grade | Description

Bootup Fix -  Repair - Repair - Caution - description blah blah blah

That's my vote :)

Edited

I forgot to mention in what the additional space recovered from removing the "Category" column could be used for:

We can add a column right before "Name" and add a symbol for those tweaks that require administrative privileges.

This is what it looks like:

No admin execution labeled.

admin execution labeled

As you can see in both cases we recovered space on he right hand side so we can make the dialog a bit smaller for those with lower resolution :)

1 - 2 - I like the Grade idea. Make it so (I've never really liked Status).
3 - I think the descriptions are long enough. I'm certainly open to replacing the Category column with something 'more useful'.

Like your marriage, we have to compromise :)

I think you're close, but my eyes are drawn directly to the ° symbol and it's somewhat distracting. I'd like to keep the column/row contents clean so people can focus on what each task is.

Well, I tried adding a column for that ( * ) and it looks worst plus we loose the space we recovered by removing the Category column. This is the cleanest approach that I could come up with :(

A filled dot makes it  pop up even more... ideas???

Not as yet. Something to ponder on, no hurry. Just pointing out that Category is kinda useless.

OK, let's do the column removal for now. I just took a screenshot with different options such as _space_* and no _space_ before asterisk. before ditching those changes.
