General Ideas
#1

Since I got access to dev corner here, and I google around alot to see what some people say about llinuxlite for the heck of it. I figured why not have a thread of ideas, not exactly a plan or meaningful stuff.

It seems that thumbnail previews for videos isnt enabled by default, which if ofc due to a package being needed. I think it's called ffmpegthumbnailer.

http://www.hecticgeek.com/2014/12/linux-...-2-review/ Source of the issue, I personally never cared for this lol. But it could be worth adding a way to add via control center or litetweaks.

It's worth noting for my test for some reason I had to restart, installing the package alone didnt give any thumbnail to the file I used for testing.

P.S. let me know if you need any github access, and for which software.

Looks like It may be my install being a bit older and not up to par with all the current packages. I'll do a fresh install later this week. I think at some stage you/we might consider a meta package that can push updates to try to maintain a balanced user experience for people (the folks who update from pervious versions, but don't have all the same depends and such) This would be easy to do, making the meta package mark all the stuff as optional or something. It's a bit late and my thought process is wonky lol.

Was thinking recently, and a user mentioned it on the thread. Should we consider adapting colors from the current gtk theme in control center. While this isnt going to be entirely pretty. It is possible... sorta lol.

So should this be a goal, or just keep in testing/idea realm?

@shaggytwodope That's really interesting. I would definitely like to know how whether it is a goal or not.

@Jerry what do you think about this?

Discussed this with shaggy on qTox, something we can look at during 3.0 cycle. I'd like us to get a working XFCE panel plugin for LLCC at some point, if someone would like to take a shot at it, nice challenge :)

LLCC is progressing nicely, you've both made incredible contributions!

Oh ok then. As for the Xfce plugin, that looks too hard for me at this point.
