Upgrade Error - Could not get lock

I've split your post to a new thread.

You've asked about this a couple of times before

The message is usually triggered when an update process is already active when a second update process is initiated, for example starting a manual check when an automated background check is already running.
If it is an automated upgrade just waiting is all that is needed.
If you happen to have a package manager open, it will need to be closed before running updates.
