Can you show me the output of:

Code:
ls -la ~/.local/share/applications/

then the contents of the file:

Code:
/home/youruser/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list

where youruser is your username.

Also, what is your File Manager as listed under Menu, Settings, Preferred Applications.
