Hey guys, I've been running Linux Lite 2.0 for a few weeks now and it has been great.

Today, I tried to install Banshee and got the following.  It is now appearing when trying to install any new packages:

unable to read file triggers file `/var/lib/dpkg/triggers/File': No such device or address
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

Here are the contents of the /usr/bin/dpkg/triggers directory:

Greetings to all from a new fan of Linux Lite who wishes to share his enthusiasm for this OS with you all.
I have two laptops which would probably be considered under powered by comparison to some of the latest models, but they are in excellent condition, and with Linux Lite 2.0 installed they have found a new life.  First, I wiped the hard drive clean on the XP laptop, and installed Linux Lite.  Results were outstanding.  The other laptop has Win 7, and a higher capacity hard drive, so I am dual booting that one with Linux Lite.  Actually, I'm not dual booting much any more, I'm working almost entirely with Linux Lite.  This has been a most productive venture for me, and I expect that I will continue to feel that way for a long time down the road.  Thanks for reading my personal introduction to Linux Lite.

Have just completed a fresh install of Linux Lite 2.0 and its going great! The only problem i've come across is the keyboard layout. During installation i choose the UK keyboard layout but for some reason i've got the American keyboard layout. Does anyone know how i may change to  UK keyboard layout please.

If you select your language during the installation of Linux Lite for example German, it will display the install dialog as German.
As soon as you boot into your first desktop, menus etc will still be in English. To complete your language installation do the following:

  1. Menu, Install Updates
  2. Menu, Settings, Language Support
  3. You will be prompted to 'Install' some additional translations, select Install and enter your password. This may take a while as it has to download language packs for programs like Gimp, Thunderbird and LibreOffice.
  4. Next, drag your language to the top of the list on the Language tab, click on the Apply System Wide button.
  5. When that has finished logout and then login again. Voila! Language Support installed.

My install freezes at the Welcome screen. I'm a Linux newbie and wanted to reclaim a dust-covered 32-bit Toshiba laptop (2GB) to experiment with Linux and determine if I like it enough to convert my other pc's. After burning two DVD's with ImgBurn I get the same results: When I boot into start-up with DVD, I hit any key to get to the Welcome screen and the system freezes after choosing 'Start Linux Lite'. Or, if I let it tick down the 10 seconds, it simply shows the feather logo next to the words 'Linux Lite' on a blank screen. I'm stumped; I can't find anything online regarding a similar issue and hope someone here can help. Thanks!
