I need to print a shipping label but the postal service website is requiring adobe acrobat to view, print or save the label.
How would I install the acrobat software so my browser can print the shipping label?
When updating or installing software I keep getting "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. "
When I try running in terminal it does nothing - just seems to hang. Reboot does not solve issue.
Dear fellow Linux Lite users,
I love the new Linux Lite! Kudos to the wonderful developers!
To help those in need and to help our environment by keeping useful things (old laptops) out of the landfill, I refurbish old laptops and give them away to those in need so that they can apply online for jobs.
In a few cases involving Apple products (such as a late 2008 MacBook Air), the Linux Lite install process gets stuck at the "Updates and other software" section -- even when none of the boxes are checked. As a result, the installation process fails -- and I need to use another Linux distro instead.
I would welcome any advice.
All the best,
Bobby
Hello, I just installed Linux Lite and I wanted to gain access to some files in the File System that says that they are "Read Only" but I would like to Write and Edit some, what setting do I need to change to do this?
Reading package lists...
E: Failed to get lock on file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock. It is being held by process 1691 (apt-get)
E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/
How fix it?
Hi all,
I´m using Linux Lite 6.2 and I´m very satisfied with it. :045:
Well, I was looking for a clipboard manager but it seems LL doesn´t come with one per default.
So I ´m looking for a good one to install. Doing a bit of research I found those:
- copyq
- gpaste
- klipper
- clipman
- diodon
(https://www.tecmint.com/best-clipboard-m...for-linux/ )
Hmm, I´m not quite sure which would be best for LL. Klipper for example seems to be optimized (exclusively?) for the KDE environment.
Does anyone of you have a good suggestion?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Many greetings
Rosika :wave
Can I have 3 different bootable Linux distro each on their own partitions on 1 USB thumbdrive, but what would happen when you insert the thumbdrive? Would a boot menu load first asking the user which partition you would like to start from?
I would like to eliminate any extra steps so that I can just plug in the thumbdrive and it goes into an autoloader mode to install the Linux distro, but a simple boot menu as described above is fine besides anything else further. Will this be possible and how much space would I need for this per partition, per Linux distro?
And with a new USB - (SanDisk Ultra Luxe 32GB USB 3.1 SDCZ74-032G-G46) after reformatting to EXT4 for these partitions will I be wiping away any vital Linux drivers or kernels that would prevent me from doing the set up what I’ve described above? thanks in advance for your advice.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to install or activate Bluetooth on my Linux Lite 6.2 PC. Under Settings, I tried to study the applications 'Bluetooth Adapters and Bluetooth Manager, but found no devices. Perhaps I need a piece of hardware to use Bluetooth on the PC. Having only recently installed Linux onto this pc, I was unsure if I would need a Linux specific device. Any advice would be appreciated. : )

Saludos.
