I came from France and I tested this distribution. I loved it.
I used Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Archlinux, LinuxMint, LMDE, Debian, Fedora, Manjaro, Mageia, OpenSUSE and a lots of distro but I'm using LinuxLight now.
I want to help to translate all Lite tools in french. Is it possible ?

Hi-I am new to Linux and am trying to install LL 2.6. it keeps failing due to the PAE option not set.
Is there a way to edit the boot up to forcepae? I was able to do that to install Lubuntu but I don't see how to do that here.  Any info about this? Thanks

After downloading a file I go to the downloaded drop-down list and if I try to execute the file or even try to open the folder it is located in I get the Linux Lite update dialog box and then if I proceed I get a dialog box that requires my password.

After entering the password it proceeds to check for updates and later tells me I am up to date. Then exits.

Anyone? Anyone?

Hi everyone,

First of all, a big thank to Linux Lite creator & its team members. 
I am running Linux Lite 2.6 on my Dell Inspiron N4050 and being happy with it.  ;D
However I need to use Windows for some stuff. I know that most of the stuff can find and work on Linux, but it's not all.
So I want to reinstall Windows on my machine.
The point is I decided to install Linux Lite 2.6 on my entire HDD (500GB). I separated my hard drive like that: /root (80GB), /home (400BG), and /swap (2GB) (there is only 3 partitions and amount numbers of GB on each partition is not accurate, just relevant numbers).
And now I am going to install Windows 10 and having a dual boot to pick up which OS to boot up when I want to run Linux Lite or Windows 10.  :
Can you guys guide me best ways to do it without losing any existing data at /home?
Re-seizing partitions by GParted takes long to complete - it was a painful experience. !_!
I think that I need a way fast & secured!  :-[

I installed Linux Lite 2.4 (32-bit) in VirtualBox 5. I'm currently using Linux Lite 1.0.6 as the host.

Installed VBOX additions. Upgraded to Linux Lite 2.6. Installed all my software.

As I've come to expect now from Linux Lite, everything worked first time.

However, I have one small problem - the font is a bit weird. In terminal, Geany, MySQL Workbench etc the font is hard to read. I manually set the font the same as I have in my host and they look very different. Individual letters are hard to distinguish and vertical lines in fonts are very faint. I've tried using different fonts, but not found one that's really useable.

I compared my VirtualBox settings to the tutorial on this forum and they are the same.

It's not my VirtualBox installation as Kubuntu and OpenSUSE don't have this problem, but I want to stick with Linux Lite if possible.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

    I am having trouble installing the Google Talk plugin for Firefox. My error message is that "Google Talk plugin has crashed" I have updated my software. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox then reinstalled Google Talk plugin...all to not avail.  I imagine that I am missing something. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thank you.

Should 'Install Updates' be done every time I turn on the computer?  I did it when I first installed LL,  other than then, I can never tell when to press that 'Install Updates' button as I never see any kind of notification. I've done it once since installation in November.

Why hello there, if anyone knows how to, could someone tell me how to listen to system sounds, and listen to external input devices like turntables or record players. I wanna listen to my new Yes records, and play video games.

Hey folks, my name is Dennis and started using linux about 2 yrs ago.  Bought an old dell laptop for $25 and brought it back to life with Ubuntu.  I've played with a few distros and used Ubuntu, Linux Mint however I'm completely sold on LL 2.6.  Great to be free from Windows!

I now use LL 2.6 on HP Notebook and my HP desktop.  Easy to install and easy access to any software I could need.  Learning Python, MySQL, PHP etc. (ameture coder).  I have been able to help out many friends/family members who were ready to trash their machines due to Windows.  Since then, I've made a few converts.

Really like the style, look and feel of LL.  So far it has been able to exceed my expectations.  Still working out some hiccups with bluetooth/headset but I'm confident that will soon be resolved.  Major KUDOS to the development team!
