After the latest upgrade of the Linux Lite version from the terminal, red borders started appearing on all the images in web browsers (Firefox, Vivaldi, Brave). I haven't been able to fix it yet.
Just downloaded and ran Linux Lite 6.4 from a bootable USB drive and was trying to install the 160 updates it said I needed to install, but failed. It told me to paste the log file to this forum.

My Brave Browser wasn't working after running updates. It would not fully render ANY webpages, but this helped:
https://community.brave.com/t/brave-sudd...s/487395/2
As I wrote in that forum, I used the following:
From a terminal, I typed, “brave-browser --disable-gpu”. It opened a Brave session, and I went to settings. I did a search for the word “acceleration” and I clicked on Relaunch to re-open Brave with Hardware Acceleration turned off.
Hi everyone.
Over the coming months, I'll be building out a whole new section to our website that will have the aim of bringing more people into the linux family via Google organic searches.
The first page is up - https://www.linuxliteos.com/tutorials/li...mands.html
That page is about 30% complete, I still have another 20+ commands to add, but it's ready to be used as a resource.
The approach is to provide generic examples of how to do things in a linux based operating system.

Hello all,
I had previously had Linux Lite 6.2 installed, and I remember there being an option somewhere in settings to choose which hotkeys (default is Alt+Scroll) to assign to magnify the screen at the cursor. However, I can't seem to find this setting in 6.4, and the screen magnify isn't working. The Linux Lite Help AI is telling me to look for System Settings and Universal Access, which don't seem to exist on my system. Does anyone know how to set up the hotkeys for the magnify option?
Thanks!

Based on this, I see #17 had issues. This has happened several times. Anything I need to do???

Hi all,
I´m asking on behalf of a friend of mine. So I have limited access to her laptop´s specs, but I know some of them.
I want to help my friend set up Linux Lite on her laptop, which is a HP 15-db0400ng.
Originally it came with WIN 10 preinstalled.
That was a few years ago and as the laptop couldn´t handle WIN satisfactorily she wanted me to install Bodhi Linux.
In the meanwhile Bodhi has reached EOL and now she wants me to to install Linux Lite 6.4 on her laptop.
I remember back then there was a wlan issue. Bodhi didn´t seem to detect the built-in WLAN.
I found out that it´s the "Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® und Bluetooth® 4.2 combined"
The problem is: my friend cannot find any ethernet cable despite the fact that she really should have one. :023:
Before tackling the task I just want to ask around:
What´s it like in Linux Lite 6.4? Does it (i.e. the kernel) by any chance come with a driver for it already preinstalled?
inxi -F says:
Network: Card-2: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter
driver: rtl8821ceAnd if LL doesn´t support the device out-of-the-box: Is there a way of installing the driver without having internet connectivity available beforehand, i.e.: off-line?
Many thanks in advance and many greetings.
Rosika :wave
