Hi,
I just love you guys.
I have been running Lite2.2 for a while now, my daily distro. No problems at all, just totally reliable.
I saw the thread on the new Control Centre, went to install it, and it has also upgraded my system to the latest 2.8 !
This is a brilliant and reliable distro., and many thanks to all those people who have built and maintained this distro.
Gotta be the best one out there, and certainly the one that I would recommend to anyone who asks me.
Big smiles....
Phil
I have a black screen after I logged in.
The problem has been started after I restart linux during program ISE synthesis.
There was an alert that it can't exit program until it finishes.
After the Linux restart I always have a black screen when I log in.
I am normal user of Linux lite. Can anyone tell where I can start fix my problem?
I tried type services in command line after alt+f1 and restart services but it has no effect.
I primarily use Firefox but lately when I use Chromium and one of the on-line photo editors (Picmonkey) My T61 crashes.
Firefox gives me errors with Picmonkey and befunky. Both work fine with my dual boot and Windows 10. Just curious.
I'm on LL 2.6 4gb ram.
Hi,
I've noticed this for some time now, Linux Lite doesn't show any of my 3 USB sticks in Thunar. Does anyone has a clue what's going on here? LSUSB does detect the sticks.

I installed Java using the rpm with alien but when I try to uninstall it it will show this
Did a purge of LibreOffice but still has menu entries. Since I'm a newbie to Linux I need somebody to walk me through the process of using Terminal commands to purge the entries from my menu.
thanks
I love Linuxlite! Need help with an issue. Google Earth worked on this PC with XP Home a month ago, but since being overwritten by Linuxlite it doesn't. Google pop-up says this Pc's graphics card does not meet the minimum specs for Google Earth.... I'm thinking if if it worked in XP, it can work in Linuxlite.
This is the system info for my video card:

Hi Guys I made a video showing something I found weird. I know this is the linux lite forums, and it is currently the Linux distro I'm using. But in the videos I had to bring up two other distros to make the point. I'm not sure how to search for this issues. That's why I'm posting it this way.
They are about how sometimes it appears that I loose one half of my processor. It happened under Manjaro xfce, never happened under Mint Xfce. And now that I switched to Linux lite 2.6 xfce, it's happening again. If you guys know anything about this, please let me know.

Looking for an additional selection of free games for this low powered system. I downloaded the games from the 'lite software' option. They are nice, but I'm hoping there is a lot more somewhere. Perhaps some older legacy games that would have some action and would have been made to work on this system. Even PacMan would help.https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/Smile...smiley.gif
Thanks

Not sure what's wrong. Need some help with this. I tried opening gparted, and after entering the requested password simply fails to materialise, even though it is on my setup as confirmed by synaptic package manager. Haven't had this problem before. Maybe linked to recently upgrading to LL2.8?
I've tried both the GUI and terminal route - neither works.
Any help is much appreciated
Mike
