When i want to open more than one file i just type: cat file1 file2 press Enter and the files appear one on top of the other. Is there a way to put a space between these files?  Thanks

I got into Linux to install Bitwig Studio, a professional audio DAW. So I finally got JACK down and also installed the low latency kernel.  So my 7 year old AMD Phenon II 955 PC runs really fast with Bitwig and JACK on Linux Lite. I like it much better then Windows 7 and 10. I had trouble installing Linux even though I have a dedicated hard drive. The problem was the edimax wifi adapter and being too far away from the router. I switched to a wired connection and that seemed to solve all the problems for installing. When installing I didn't realize about the swap drive and that has taken 12GB out of 64GB. I'm looking to remove that. So far everything is going smooth..

Decided to try a "lite" version of Linux for a change since I have lots of older hardware gathering dust. Coming from a RPM / KDE background going back more than 20 years, I find this very delightful  8)

Going to revive my old Asus netbook 701 which I pimped many years ago with extra ram, touch screen and bluetooth! Loaded Lite on a Dell D630 dual core 64 bit.... and it is flying!!! Impressed  Smile

Just one question for now... where do I configure the screen saver? LOL  ;D

Just re-salvaged my old Asus Eee PC 900HD (the XP Edition from '09-'10, I think), and I will be crawling like crazy amongst the various threads and topics in a desperate attempt to figure out what I'm doing. The Lite is still currently updating. I had tried to install Lite yesterday, but ran into the "creating user" error that that was mentioned on another part of this forum. I decided to follow those instruction by not encrypting my home folder, but I also left my drive unencrypted and also decided to load from USB without an active internet connection as an added precaution. That last step was in response to a bug in Linux Mint KDE install that I experienced on my Toshi c-75 about 2 month back. Hopefully, I figure out how to encrypt my drive and home folder without having to resort to crying or bribery.
Personal projects regarding LinuxLite: Absolutely everything form learning a programming language, screwing with ALL the packages and apps. Learning what this terminal thingy is, etc, etc. I haven't done squat with computers since One Key Logo...
Pray for my little Asus

I've been getting a blank "update screen" for the last few days when I use "Install updates".  When I update through the command line, I do see stuff to be updated.  The install function is doing its job, the only problem is that whatever needs to be updated won't show up in GUI mode.(at the end of the process, the update window does show me what's been updated).  I only see this in the machine described in the left profile.  No problem in VM 3.4 or in Lenovo LL 2.8

Hi!

I'm planing to build new Ryzen computer and during the research for the build I discovered there is an issue with Ubuntu and openSUSE on Gigabyte AM4 motherboards:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sourc...ug/1671360

I planed to run Linux Lite on that computer and my first choice was Gigabite motherboard so it would be really helpful if I could get feedback if this compatibility issue will be present on Linux Lite too. Otherwise I'll have to search for new motherboard.  :-\

Thanks in advance.
