Hello, everyone!
I noticed a translation error in Brazilian Portuguese language. When you right click in the desktop, the option "Buscar aquii..." should be "Buscar aqui..." or even "Buscar aqui". The second "i" is a mistake. As you can see here: https://prnt.sc/60xTCv_iPeuO
Also, when you go to Control Panel, some elements shouldn't be translated because they loses their meaning. For example, the "Lite Sounds" element is translated to "Sons Leves". It's a bad translation because it's not intuitive. As a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker, would be better "Lite Sounds" or "Sons Lite". And, for the "Lite Widget", "Widget leve" Is not a good translation. Should be "Lite Widget". Everything that is related to the Lite system should have "Lite" and not "Leve". Image: https://prnt.sc/RQjMsb3T6plM
And should have an alias to the Control Panel named "Painel de Controle" because it is super intuitive and it just doesn't exist, as you can see here: https://prnt.sc/h-Q0TqP8Z5Ra
I'm enjoying the Linux Lite experience and it is a great OS. I would be pleasured to make this project even better.
I see that for new topics, you can Select Prefix of "SOLVED", but that option doesn't computer seem to be available for ongoing topics.
Thanks.
coderlen
Hello everybody,
My Webcam HD resolution appears with a lower resolution and with too much "squares". In Windows, the Webcam worked fined because it had the official drivers, but in this OS Linux Lite, when I saw the resolution of the Webcam with a videocall from Facebook to me from my mother, i become scared!
Exist any fix to put the resolution in HD?
Thanks and Regards!

Hi all,
here´s the scenario:
My main system is Linux Lite 6.2 and it is installed on an external HDD.
It´s a “Western Digital Technologies, Inc. Elements 25A2”. So I always boot my system from there. I´ve been doing it this way for years now and it´s been working really well.
9 days ago however, shortly after pressing the on/off button, the status messages reported something about “kernel panic”, and the system wouldn´t boot. :-[
So I pressed the on/off button (holding it down for a while) in order to power the machine down. The OS hadn´t booted anyway.
Immediately after that I tried again and this time it worked flawlessly. No message of that kind anymore and the OS booted alright.
^-^
I believe the kernel panic message related to a USB device 1-1.2.3, which points to my HDD.
I started the PC every day for the past 9 days and it has been working fine ever since. No problems.
Today however (after 9 days) that kernel panic business happened again.
These are the messages I don´t like:
- failed to execute /init (error -2)
- Kernel panic - not syncinc … no working init found. Try passing init= option to kernel
- panic …
- end kernel panic .
I tried to boot a second time and now it worked flawlessly again.
As for hardware, I think it´s alright for me. I checked the HDD´s health with 'smartctl' and everything looks alright there.
I also tested my RAM with `memtester' from inside the running system and with 'memtest' as well.
No errors reported. I think (and hope) we may rule out any hardware issues.
I´m pretty clueless about this intermittent boot failure...
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Many greetings from Rosika :wave
I got *new* laptop and did a clean installation of Linux Lite 6.6. Ran through the updates and so on.
Everything ran OK, even after a few reboots the same evening. Then the next day, I started the laptop and after login, the desktop launched OK, then suddenly the screen scrambled (multi-coloured horizontal lines), then blank. After a few seconds, the laptop rebooted. Again, logged in OK, desktop started OK, but this time it just went blank.
The next day (yesterday, relative to this post) I did a new clean install. That evening, all was well.
Home from work now, booted laptop and get the same crash sequence.
The only thing I can think, so far, is that during installation, I checked install third-party drivers, which required me to give a password for secure boot. It said that I would be asked for this password on next boot up. However, on both occassions, I have not been asked for the secure boot password.
I am now running this from the USB stick.
The laptop is a Lenovo ideapad 330 with AMD A6 processor and STONEY graphics.
How can I start looking for problem?
Gracias!
