Helloooo!

So I played around with Plymouth a bit and modified some themes with the forums and some of my own designs.
I decided to posted them on the inter-tubes for others to try and maybe even, enjoy!
I included an install script and readme file for easy install.
*Don't forget to backup before installing though, just in case.
And please don't run updates at the same time as changing Plymouth themes, that can crash your Linux... I know from experience ;-) )

Hello! I have this encrypted note from CherryTree, and after I scan my device for viruses. The Clam virus scanner, said "Heuristics.Encrypted.7Zip" I'm just wondering if this is a real virus or even a real threat?

I have installed LL on the device in my profile. It has an 80GB HDD that I partitioned 20 GB for LL.  The other side is Windows 7.  While I get better performance than Windows, it still is slower than I prefer.  Is there any quick tuning that can be done in settings to improve this.  I have virtually nothing else on this partition than LL, which includes the Libre software.  I want to use for internet search and occasionally reviewing a Micro. Office file, but nothing of any size will be stored there.  Any help?  TIA

Not sure what I'm doing differently...I have added Klavaro to 5 laptop or notebooks successfully a couple months ago, but now when I add it (have tried on two different computers) I can see the package in an EDUCATION tab above in the menu, however it doesn't open up on either computer  :-\

I tried through both synaptic manager going to "install/remove programs" and when it didn't open up I tried via terminal using a sudo command.  Both "appeared" to download the package, but again when I went to it via menu nothing happens when I click on it.

I even updated one of the computers again before downloading it.

Any explanations and suggestions?

I'm trying to uninstall and reinstall Firefox in LL 2.8 using Synaptic Package Manager (SPM). I keep getting an error notice when trying to launch the SPM telling me that I need to make a report and run this terminal command.:-



E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.


When trying to run that, I'm told I need Superuser permission.  Help!!

And what are the benefits of using it?

Hi all, I was looking now at all the black Friday sales and will be buying a refurbished laptop, with at least USB 3.0 support. Right now I'm  using a Toshiba Netbook running LL 3.6.  When I get the new laptop can I just take out my old SSD and just put it in the new laptop? I really don't want to reinstall and configure my set up again.

With the help of Feather designed by [member=5059]whateverthing[/member] I am designing some bootloading splash screen (no, not the ones as xfce splash screen, but the LL feather on yellow background one). I just thought I would share them here.
