  Keyboard definition
Posted by: Harold Heinbaugh - 04-08-2020, 10:23 PM - Forum: Installing Linux Lite - Replies (2)

I just installed Linux Lite on my ASUS Notebook 1005 PE which has an embedded numeric keypad in the alpha portion of the keyboard.  Unfortunately, the installation has set the default keyboard layout to recognize the numeric keypad. This has messed up my passwords.  Is there a solution outside of reinstalling. I have reinstalled 3 times. Any help will be appreciated. Like where do the keyboard definitions live?

  Dell printer
Posted by: rustydad - 04-08-2020, 01:28 AM - Forum: Printing and Scanning - Replies (1)

Hello All  I'm trying to install a Dell v305 printer/scanner(only one avail.at this time)  to my Linux Lite system. On the initial setup the Linux lite and Ubuntu 18.04 will find the printer, however there are no drivers to connect the printer. Are there any generic printer drivers available to connect Linux lite or Ubuntu 18.04. Are there other printers that are more compatible to linux ??

Posted by: lintek - 04-07-2020, 07:46 PM - Forum: Installing Linux Lite - Replies (6)

I am a total novice.  I installed LL on a friend's laptop and she is a TOTAL newb.  When she tries to update she gets these error codes.

Any suggestions for her?  Thanks.

Hola.
No sé si estoy haciendo lo correcto, es mi primera vez. Pero es un problema que hace al sistema inservible:
Por qué todo va bien hasta que abro cualquier navegador y entonces el sistema se colapsa? Se come todos los recursos?
Gracias

Hello there first off. Downloaded LL 4.8 and simply trying it live, not ready to install yet.

Been using Linux off and on since the early 90's or something like that. Tried 20 distros over the weekend and into this week, quite bored stuck at home.

Past 4 years or so been using Bodhi Linux 64 bit. And in the market for something new or different, so here I am at Linux Lite.

Monitor in vertical and with reflection
Posted by: otibag - 04-06-2020, 10:05 PM - Forum: Video Cards - No Replies

Dear Sirs: I have L Lite 4.8 recently installed and, when attempting to adjust monitor resolution, I suposse I click in a wrong area, so my monitor now is in vertical and reflection mode. Also the buttons to fix that are out of visible area. The monitor settings window does not support scrolling. So, I'm in a mess.
I suppose that if I change the monitor settings via the apropiate file (xorg perhaps?), replacing it, I can fix that. Is this a correct way? If so, where I can get a file with the correct settings, and where I have to copy to?

I have a Toshiba NB255 laptop, arch x86-64. The video card is built-in. Command "inxi -Gx" display: Display server x11 (X.org 1.19.6) driver vesa, OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 9.0, 128 bits). Version: 3.3 Mesa 19.2.8. Direct Render: Yes

Thanks for a help in advance.
Regards.
Gabriel, Argentina

  Wallpaper morphing
Posted by: Rapidrob - 04-06-2020, 01:45 PM - Forum: Other - Replies (3)

I had set up on one of my LL computers with a feature that morphed the wallpaper images into some really neat images as they scrolled through all of the images in my wallpapers. I somehow managed to turn that feature off and cannot remember where it was located or if this feature was a software?
