Hola, amigos de Lite en español. Instalé recientemente el sistema en mi vieja máquina. He de decirles que me ha encantado, pero tengo un problema al momento de realizar las primeras actualizaciones que el propio sistema me pide hacer. I was using LL 4.8 earlier but now i have installed LL 3.8 (32-bit) due to some perfomance issues on my old machine.
Now i'm getting sound issues in 3.8. What should i do? The sound is fine in windows 7 (dual boot) and also in previously installed versions of LL (4.8 and 5.0)

I was updating the system and the update failed.
The message I received indicated I should post the log file to the forum for assistance. It is attached. Please assist.
I am new to Linux, but I realize this is out of my control. I ran the update from the Menu>System>Install/Remove Software option of the menu tree. When that failed, I used the Terminal to run the sudo apt-get update command. I received the same result, so I read the log file and found the gimp package name had been changed to gimp stable.
What should I do to rectify this issue?
Hi LL community.
I recently re-installed LL v4.8 (downgrading from v5.0 due to system perfomance issues).
This is the best Linux to replace Win7 (though i use both).
I've noticed that LL v4.8 slows down a bit when connected to internet and when i use Atom code editor it consumes too much memory and slows down the system.
For offline use, i can use even v5.0 or above. But I want a suitable version of LL to use with internet according to my system hardware that runs fine.
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU E5300 @2.60 GHz
Memory: 1 GB RAM (DDR2)
Graphics: Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Chip type: Intel GMA 3100) (256 MB)

Hola, amigos. Acabo de instalar linux lite en mi computadora ¡y me ha gustado mucho! Pero tengo un par de problemas. Como sea, me presento ante ustedes. Soy Ergo Rodrerich, vivo en México y llevo usando Linux ya muchos años. La interfase de Lite me ha gustado mucho, y veo que su funcionamiento también es muy bueno. Soy y seré siempre un aprendiz. Here's the thread (i made this new thread as that was a different issue).
As you can see, i installed many drivers from different user's git repository.
I don't know which drivers is currently being used with my network card. I don't want to mix up my system files with unused drivers.
So i only want to keep the current working driver and remove others safely. How can i do this?

I have this old Dell Laptop with i3 4th gen and geforce 820m running updated linux lite with open source drivers and I have one monitor laying around so thought to connect them as the laptop's screen is in pretty bad shape so bought one hdmi to vga cable expecting it to be a plug and play kinda thing but i was wrong as when i connected the external device was just showing cable not detected.
Help needed to connect them and to learn the how to as well.
