Hi everyone. I am noticing a strange bug which keeps reappearing. No matter how many times I use the lite tools to reset my panel to defaults, a duplicate wifi symbol will appear on the bottom right after some amount of time , and there appears to be no way to remove it other than resetting my panel to defaults. I turned off my computer last night, and the duplicate wifi symbol was not there. Today, the first thing I noticed when turning my computer on was the duplicate wifi symbol. I included an image.

Thanks.
I am really enjoying Linux Lite regardless though.
The LL 6.0 install creates a GPT HD and EFI partition and on older non-EUFI computers it won't boot. Is there an install option to create a MBR HD as LL 5.8 did?
Thanks,

Hi.
Long time Linux user. Just install Lite. I like it a lot. Fast, simple, good repository.
But for some reason, the speakers thump on random mouse gestures, scrolling on pages, etc. Thought at first in might be related to those annoying sounds that Ubuntu used to make, so I disabled all the settings under Lite Sounds. Didn't work.
Hate the sounds. I get rid of them how?
Thanks in advance.
Pete
Accidentality overwrote my .bashrc file. I have re-made some of it however not everything. I could not find a copy of the source bashrc file from linux lite.
Would anyone be able to link me, or paste below the text from their bashrc file.
Thanks!
Hey guys! I am having trouble with my sound on my Asus Vivobook E406SA on Linux Lite 6.0. More specifically, the sound card is not showing up on pavucontrol.
Here is my sound card: Intel Corporation Atom/Celeron/Pentium Processor x5-E8000/J3xxx/N3xxx Series High Definition Audio Controller [8086:2284] (rev 35)
Can someone help me fix this?
Thanks in advance!

When you press the ZR button on the Dualsense controller, the mouse pointer moves up and doesn't come down. I had the same problem with the Dualshock 4 4 years ago. In emulators it is impossible to operate the controller, be it because of the ZR button but also because of the mouse pointer in the background because something is being operated on the desktop during the game
thanks
Hi,
I created a bootable LL 6.0 usb using the command dd if=linux-lite-6.0-64bit.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=4M using my openSUSE i7 laptop. I booted into the i7 laptop and the live session worked fine, so the bootable usb is fine.
I want to install LL 6.0 in my wife's HP Intel Atom N2600 1.6 Ghz 2GB notebook. It does not have UEFI boot option at all. It has Windows 7 installed which i want to replace by LL 6.0.
But the bootable usb never boots into any of the options - live, install etc. I just get a blank screen.
Please suggest. Thanks.
Hi all,
I´ve got a question regarding the support period of Linux Lite.
I understand Lite is based on Ubuntu LTS and thus receives 5 ys of updates. That´s really great. :045:
But what I´d very much like to know how this is achieved.
Doing a bit of research I came across the following facts:
- Ubuntu and the other derivates all use the same repositories.
- The only difference: Server and "normal" Ubuntu only use packages from the "main" and "restricted" branches, which are supported by Canonical for 5 years.
- All other derivatives come with packages from "universe" and even "multiverse". So if you use Ubuntu and don't install a single package from "universe" or "multiverse", you have 5 years of support. Otherwise only 3 years.
- By default, "universe" and "multiverse" are not active in Server.
I know that e.g. Lubuntu offers just 3 ys of support, but here there are "main", "restricted", "universe" and "multiverse" set as active.
So I was wondering: how does Linux Lite go about providing 5 years of support? Are only "main" and "restricted" active?
Or is there even a dedicated Lite repository implemented?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
Many greetings from Rosika :wave
