Re: Update Error CDROM does not have a release file - stevef - 09-10-2022 aruninaction - I've split your topic off and given it a new title. Have you actually installed Linux Lite onto to your system hard disk ? This error message can occur if you have booted a live media session and try to do an update while running from live media. A live session is usually for evaluating the OS prior to installing it. Re: Update Error CDROM does not have a release file - aruninaction - 09-10-2022 Hi, I am 100% new to linux and am trying to install the OS for the first time in my laptop. Could you please explain how to do the install? Thanks in advance, Arun Re: Update Error CDROM does not have a release file - stevef - 09-10-2022 There is a good guide to installation in the help manual. If you've already got as far as a working bootable live media, scroll down to 'Preparing your Computer for the Installation' and read from there. https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/install.html#installguide |
