Don't know what I was thinking. Guess I need another espresso. Let me try again. If I want to listen to a podcast online I click the (podcast) link in the browser and and it will play in my browser, Firefox. So my preferred software here is the browser. If I want to listen to a podcast offline I save the podcast and use VLC to listen to it later. So my preferred software here is VLC. I'm sure they're more elaborate solutions out there but I just don't personally need them. Hopefully others will jump in and offer their preferrences as well. Does that answer the question?
My question was meant to be what is the preferred software that LL2-users have to download & play podcasts on LL2, e.g. podcasts of radio 4, or other radio programmes, downloaded from BBC i-player.E.g. Banshee, Clementine, Rhythmbox, to name some.
When you say podcasts what type of file you mean?VLC can do the trick I suppose.
