What do you see? When i rightclick on menu i see from top to bottom: Properties, About, Move, Edit applications, Remove, Panel ...

Yes, that's what I see. I was clicking on individual items after the menu was open.

I noticed after removing the original Whisker menu from the Panel, then using the Add New Items on the Panel to replace it again, that the Edit Applications is greyed out in the new Whisker's right click menu. There's no GUI way (that I can find) to get into the Edit Applications via the right click menu or properties etc. on the new Whisker, instead, Alacarte must be run from the Terminal. ...

Interesting. I did not delete the original Whisker Menu but added a second one on the right end to have the LL icon at both ends of my panel. I also like the menu on the right end because it is closer to my right (mouse) hand. Anyway, the one I added does have "Edit Application" grayed out while the original menu still has it available.

Both menus have Alacarte "Main Menu" so need to run the dreaded terminal.  :D

If you have an Applications Menu instead of the Whisker menu, then the Edit Applications is available via a GUI button in the right click > Properties, where you also get the option to use a custom menu file.

Have you tried to uncheck the "Show" column of the Apps you don't want in the menu with the Main Menu app?

That is what I was suggesting. I can't do it the way TMG196 suggested.

Maybe a screenshot?

I don't find a right click option to Edit Applications. I have used the installed  Main Menu app (generic name for Alacarte) in the menu before without any problems.

Be careful removing entries from the menu, at the very least create a restore point before you remove anything.

When you right click on Menu and then select Edit Applications you can then remove items from the menu, add items or rearrange the items
