Yeah, when I used to use AirDroid I found it to be the best of the bunch, thats why I recommended it.

But I havn't used it for ages, drifted into using Dropbox and Flickr, which suits me fine, each to their own :D

Yeah. AirDroid is easy to use.
Hopefully it will be ported to Linux Lite.
A special feature for LL 3.0 from LL creator :)

I  know that/
How will you do when you need to copy a video (>5GB) from phone to PC or vice versa?
Upload then download, huh!
Only trying to help ???

What I do with all videos is to upload them direct to Flickr, then watch them on any device or share them with family, doesn't take up space on your hard drive, a form of backup,
again only putting forward different options for anyone watching :)
Okay.
Last night, I was able to connect my Moto X 1st gen ^ ^; will try with Droid Turno

Can I suggest the method I use to transfer between computer and phone, that is to use Dropbox, (or similar)
On the phone just send whatever you want to transfer, to your cloud account, then on your computer just drag and drop (or copy and paste) to where ever you want.
Vice versa the other way around.

Hope that doesn't confuse :)

Keith.

It should work fine...
Obviously a cable connection would be ideal...
But if it works :)

I will try it. AirDroid seems not to support Linux desktop. Feem is fine. Good thing is my external storage device is recognized.

I'm using 5.1.1 Is USB Debugging turned on? If so turn it off. Also, go to Storage, USB Connection and make sure Media Device (MTP) is selected.

I had a similar problem..
It seems connecting Android Phones can be a bit Hit 'n' Miss
Depending on the Make/Model & Version of Android.

I ended up taking drastic measures and installing CyanogenMod on my phone,
NOT for the faint hearted.

But now have the benefits of @ 20% better battery life,
It unlocks when it detects my home wifi, and more neat features.
and far less Google/Samsung bloat.
