I had the same problem and JmaCWO solved it.

Hi Jerry

Im new to this and hence am not sure if I should start a new thread or post here...

Ive had trouble with the mount pointer/cursor not staying at the selected size.

I loose the size setting when I restart (usually set at 42) and then when I go into Settings>Mouse and Keyboard>Theme Tab and change the theme, the size comes back to 42...

Ive used 2.6 and now 3.0 and had the same issue with both, what am I doing wrong?

thanks in advance

A simple way would be to open a terminal and do:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install dmz-cursor-theme
This will install a standard mouse pointer theme that is scalable on the fly.

Once installed go to, Menu, Settings, Mouse and Touchpad, click on the Theme tab.
Select the DMZ theme (black or white, you choose) then adjust the mouse pointer size to your liking, it will change when you click Close.

Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite.

A lot of themes change what the icons look like, as well as the mouse pointer, so be prepared for THAT.

With that said, you can go to one or both of these sites to find something more to your liking:

http://xfce-look.org/

http://gnome-look.org

Here's a tutorial on how to add them:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/4526-how-to-customize-your-mouse-theme-in-lxde-and-xfce/

Hope you find one you like!

How in the devil do you change the mouse pointer size and possibly the color? The size change is necessary as I am almost 73 and that miniature pointer is a pain in the petard!!!
