Think its more a Chrome issue vs. Linux Lite..??..

If still troubles, maybe see if you can roll back to previous version of Chrome - or previous version you were running...
As avj mentioned - did Chromes task manager yield any info?

Pretty sure it is a Chrome issue.Have 2.6 with Chrome also running on my lappy and its fine.

Is this a hardware problem....?.

I have read in a couple of articles that this may be caused by an extension with a memory leak.  If chrome is slowing down this could be the problem.  The following link is about how chrome uses memory. It includes info on chrome's built in task manager which can be opened using [Shift+Esc] key combination. This allows you to easily see what is using more than its share of memory.

Looks like something that pops up now and again, what version and did you notice if recent chrome update..

Seems like usual tries; cache, extensions..
May wanna try this link??

Quite a few updates in last few days could have been something in there.
Check in Chrome:
Menu > Settings Then Click on "Show Advanced settings" (at end of list)
Scroll down to "System"
uncheck the [ ] "Use Hardware Acceleration when available" if it's checked
re-start Chrome.
Have done that now.

Seems to be something to do with the browser cache. If you clear the cache it is ok for a while then
locks again.

Thanks Guys.

Did you install using Lite Software?

Yes I did.

Firefox seems ok.....so far.

This has reared its ugly head again while running LL 2.6.

This started about three days ago and yesterday removed chrome from LL 2.6 and reinstalled.

Its still happening.

Grateful for any advice.
