We won't be integrating Snap until it becomes necessary to do so. Ubuntu has a track record of introducing technologies that don't get widely adopted, and end up getting either deprecated or cancelled.
Good! I think it's cool that they are innovative and inventive, but any distro that is either
1. - Intended for new users or those new to Linux, or
2. - Aimed at being rock-stable for users (like me) who absolutely depend on reliability
MUST not include experimental, beta stuff that isn't ready for prime time. I think SNAP is a cool idea and I hope it catches on and becomes a stable, reliable, trouble-free, cross-distro kinda thing. But
until it's "mature" and stable, it has no place in a newbie/stable distro.
