What I gave my autistic grandson for a Christmas Present. He is the only Linux user in the family now besides me. His laptop is screaming fast the way I set it up. It is old tech but set up to use as little on going processes as possible.

Good luck with your Moms setup. I bet mine was way way easier conversion than yours. My Mom calls electronic gear like TV and Computers idiot boxes. So I sympathize with you on your efforts.
My grandson is having a ball on his laptop.

Hello,
I am unsure about the wallpaper issue, it doesn't happen for me, have you tried experimenting with different wallpapers, and then changing back, comparing to see if there is a difference ?
I have seen that before on other non Linux computers, it was found to be where the wallpaper was not the same size as the screen resolution setting, and where the wallpaper was not set to align center, and this movement was where it increased the wallpaper size to fit.

On Mr.Robot se01ep01 when he arrives in work and talks about evil corp, where it shows the variety of devices with the 'e' upon them, I am convinced this 'e' represents "eple" (Norwegian for Apple). :P ;)
Your mom needs you to share your love of Linux more than ever at this time.

I'm enjoying 3.2 too. :)

like the title says. my experiance with the 3.2 been good. but here what i dont like. after i login my wallpaper moves to the side and then refreshes itself. the refresh fixes the wallpaper but it an lil irrating to me. yes that an small gripe but it one i notice. i am so loving the latter of the usage though. barely any strange behaviors like arch. plus i say this may give mom a chance for her MAC to go bye bye. i for one love linux and id tired of the consent run ahout with updates.
