100% CPU usage on both cores. Synaptic fails to fully load. Virtual keyboard .

I had not used this net-book for a long while. So to give you a idea of how long ago. I had chromium 58 on here when chromium still supported 32 bit systems. So part of my cleanup on this net-book was un-installing chromium.

I use onboard keyboard on this netbook

Which I had auto-starting in startups after a login.

My synaptic problem after my dist-upgrade was due to onboard auto-starting and running in the background <even closed>

So I quit onboard using the menu option in taskbar in the onboard icon location in the taskbar.
I unchecked the onboard box in my startup services after login.
I added a manual onboard in my taskbar icons section where my file manager icon sits in taskbar . Only difference is now I do not auto-start and start onboard manually when I want to use it.

Synaptic now opens normally again.
