Yes, probably will never make it out of a lab....
Like the decades of research into "Organic" based memory/storage, nothing really viable at present...
IBM have some new interesting memory stuff that possibly will make it out of the lab

Will this kind of very low temperatures has it's on effect on how the memory works? I mean, it is so low that you basically freezing the memory in such way that even the memory won't work properly? The lower the temperature, the higher the resistance of the semiconductors?
