Then you should contact their support folks for help on that at [email protected].  It looks like you'll have to compile the driver.

Hi,

It claims to have Linux support, and as I say it came with a CD-ROM with a driver on it, but no instructions for installing it.

Thanks.

The system requirement is for Windows.  So it appears there's no Linux support.

This isn't helping.  You should supply the make and model number of the wifi adapter.

Hi everyone,

I know there are loads of threads on this but I can never seem to be able to find a proper answer. I have a Wifi adapter that isn't recognized by the system, going to the driver manager shows an unknown piece of hardware (which I believe is a red herring, a random motherboard driver that does nothing for the Wifi problem). It came with a CD-ROM with a driver on it but I haven't a clue what terminal commands are used to install it. The output for the lsusb command is;

Code: [Select]
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0bda:0156 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Mass Storage Device
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 002: ID 279e:024e
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0e8d:7610 MediaTek Inc.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd be really grateful, this has been driving me up the wall for a couple of days now.
