  • CPU: Interl(R) Pentium(R) Dual E2180

  • MEMORY: 2Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 610i (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)
I first installed the relevant NVIDIA graphics drive (it was missing ); and  then  applied the second instruction(Menu-Setting-Install Drivers) which fixed the problem (of using both  browsers: Chrome and Firefox).
Thank you so much for yr prompt help.

Have you tried installing an NVIDIA graphics driver?

If not, go to Menu->Settings->Install Drivers.  Under the Additional Drivers tab, choose the latest NVIDIA driver that says proprietary tested.  Apply Changes and then reboot.  Maybe that will help.

Hi,
So people can help, if you can give us your set-up that will help.
Open a terminal by pressing the keys: ctrl alt t then enter the following command:
Code: [Select]
inxi -F
Then highlight and copy the text in the terminal window. Then using "code tags" paste it in a reply on this thread.
use the Insert Code ~ # button on the posting menu bar or use the following:
[ code ]Put your Text or Code Here[ /code ]
(without the spaces in the code brackets) to enclose your code.

So it looks like:
Code: [Select]

dave@asus-mini-1:~$ inxi -F

I am new to this system, as I had just installed yesterday Linux Lite2.2 32bit; and today upgraded it to the latest version(2.6). The problem I have , with both versions, is that whenever  I click on Firefox, chrome or help, the   computer gets frozen and paralyzed completely; however, the wire internet connection is on. I had to restart over and over again for so many  times (during these days) in vain.  Before sending my comment, I searched y'r site and also  googled  and    nothing there. The OS is installed on a separate HD, with Windows 7 starter  on the other one. Desperately asking for help, appreciating any  input to the effect.

Thanks a lot
