Hello!

Welcome to the Linux Lite community of users.  I don't think you'll find a group of folks quite like this one elsewhere. It makes for a unique experience, indeed!

Welcome thoughtinstinct to the LL forum.
You've definitely made the right move to LL - of course I'm not biased :D .

Seriously, you'll find a very friendly & knowledgeable community here who will bend over backwards to help you, whatever your questions.

Cheers
Mike

64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung netbook) installed in Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

Hello everyone,

I started using linux 3 years ago switching between distros without actually knowing what i'm doing. Finally settled on linux lite about 6 months ago and i'm a believer now.

I have been/still am a copy paste guy following tutorials without ever learning anything but im finally taking the right steps to at least know what it's i'm copying with the aim being to learn as i go along.

Totally happy since updating to 3.0 a week back or so and i now keep messing with things and reinstalling after i break them, just coz i can :)

Hope to learn from all of you. Keep up the good work !
