Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite, and to the forums. I still remember the fuss that was raised by the GNOME community when GNOME 3 was released.

I guess I really like LXDE because Lubuntu was the first Linux OS I was ever able to do very much with. However, while I was trying to make LL work for me on this machine, MATE filled the gap nicely...

Hi
Great distro- congratulations and thanks to the developers. :)
I have been using Linux for many years and have tried many distros, usually dual or tri-boot with Windows.
Over the years many distros, including Windows, have not catered very well for 64 bit, and the dropping of gnome type desktop (without having to download alternatives) meant I used Ubuntu and Mint less and less and often reverted to Windows 7.

Linux lite was easy to install and update, and intuitive.
Thanks

Welcome!
MATE is doing a great job after Gnome.
