May I recommend having a read through our easy to follow Help Manual. You'll find many answers to common questions there. Shortcut is on the Desktop.

Here's another Clementine question.

Clementine seems only to be able to play .mp3 files, and I have various other file types in my music library. Can someone tell me what to do about that?

A version of clementine for Linux Lite is already prepared for you in Lite Software. Menu>System>Lite Software>Install Software.

*Also as far as compiling from the terminal not all dependencies are installed for building applications in Linux Lite base system, or Ubuntu LTS for that matter.

Clementine can be installed from synaptic (Menu/System/Install & Remove software)

It is a feature of linux that there is no display when entering passwords in terminal. Just enter the password on your keyboard followed by Enter/Return.

2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

Greetings,

Id like to try Clementine or something similar but am having trouble installing it. The downloads page appears to have versions for a whole lot of Ubuntu flavors, and I tried one of them (the Willy one), to no avail. I also tried downloading the source and following some instructions for the terminal, but when the terminal asks for my password, I'm unable to type anything in.

Thanks for considering!
