Hi, again! Can you post here the result of this command?Maybe this will help me figure out what is going on out there...Code: [Select]inxi -c 0 -ACdGMNSzThis command lists all available hardware of the machine.Based on this info, maybe we can find some solution to the problem. The BIOS thing, looks to me unbelivable! Why would you have two graphic cards, if only one is available to the system?!Goog luck, again!

[...] Linux only recognizes the 9400M.Linux has nothing to do with "recognizing" anything.Linux only provides the necessary drivers according to the hardware list built on POST.So you need to enter your BIOS and choose the primary display.Since the default was GeForce 9400M, I recommend you to switch on GeForce 260M.After this, save the BIOS settings and reboot.Entering the same app you screen-captured, you should be able to see the new driver. Should be something like "NVidia 260.19.21"https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/24788/en-usGive it a test. Maybe this time will work everything, although, I had myself trouble with GeForce GT630 OEM (GK107).I switched to the Intel GPU (HD 4600) which gives far better results than NVidia.Quote from: Cuc Cu on July 11, 2020, 08:49:39 AM[...] About the wifi adapter, if I update its driver then wifi not working anymore as well as the graphic card. [...]That is pretty weird.According to the screen capture, there is only one driver available for the LAN/WiFi chipset. This should work.Search with Google for articles on this topic, maybe there is something that has to be done in order to prevent drivers to overlap for whatever reason. This I guess requires some more practice in using Synaptic Package Manager and GDebi Package Manager in order to be able to install and uninstall securely any driver.Leaving installations leftovers and installing something else, leads mostly to conflicts and hardware behaviour becomes impredictible.Good Luck!

[...]Hello!I assume that the machine is:Laptop Alienware M17x Nebula Red, Intel® Core™ i7-820QM 1.73GHz, 6GB, 128GB SSD, Ati Radeon HD5870 1GB.This is the only match I could find.If this is the case, it's a very good machine. This is what I would do:Scenario 11. Keep the default installation video drivers.2. Update the network chipset drivers.3. Check if all went OK and the connection speed is the one stated by the ISP provider, on your internet services contract. Never expect a high speed on WiFi, regardless the bla-bla of any marketing campaign. This is technology, and has nothing to do with the marketing goals.I really doubt your speed connection is slowed down by Linux. I'd rather suspect faulty or intentional Windows utilities faked reports on speed connection. It's a marketing bubble.Use online speed testing services, more than one, and consider the average value.WiFi speed, is always at most 30% of your WIRED connection.Use a wired connection and check the speed.Good luck!
