BTW does Skype work out of the box?As Lubuntu 12.04 had sound problems with it.

Skype is available to install via Menu, Install Additional Software, Skype. If you have any sound issues, please start a new thread in the Software - Support section.

Thanks I did see that,I had read on the Ubuntu forum that Linux based OS installs can use some existing files,and as I've had some issues with Ubuntu I didn't want them repeating.BTW does Skype work out of the box?As Lubuntu 12.04 had sound problems with it.

You will get the option to either install alongside the current os or Erase Disk and Install Linux

I have a netbook running Ubuntu and Lunbuntu 12.04 if I do a standard Lite install will it overwrite the other OS or will I need to format the HD?
